Course Overview
Our IPAF Harness Use and Awareness Course offers delegates the chance to learn about latest regulations, different varieties of harnesses, different varieties of lanyards, faults with equipment and much more.
Who Should Attend?
Candidates who do not need to personally use or wear a harness should, take only the HA Course (theory training & test) which can be completed remotely as eLearning,
or in-person at an IPAF training centre. Candidates typically include managers, planners, safety professionals and supervisors.
Candidates who do need to use or wear a harness themselves should first take the HA Course and then attend an IPAF training centre to take their HU Course practical assessment (this can be incorporated into a candidate’s MEWP Operator Course). Candidates are generally MEWP operators.
Please note this course does not cover inspection of Harnesses.
What are the aims of this course?
To enable delegates to:
Demonstrate competence in the correct pre-use check of a harness and lanyard.
Demonstrate competence in how to correctly fit and adjust a harness and lanyard for use in
a MEWP.
Demonstrate the correct anchor point to attach the lanyard to in a MEWP and adjust the lanyard to be effective.

IPAF PAL Cards Go Digital!
From 1st June, all candidates who successfully complete their IPAF training will receive their licence, logbook, and safety guide digitally through the IPAF app straight to their phone rather than receiving a physical version as previously issued.
All IPAF documents including their licence will be accessible through ePAL which is free to download on all IOS and android devices. IPAF require all individuals attending an IPAF course to download the ePAL App prior to the training course. They will then be presented with a unique ID number. This number and the individuals email address must be passed to the instructor delivering the training at the time of the course.
If you would like a paper version of the certificate and licence, it MUST be requested at the initial point of booking the course.
